Choosing proper bleaching earth for vegetable oils

Vegetable oils contain various impurities that give them unwanted colors, such as green (due to chlorophyll) or orange-red (for example, due to gossypol, carotenoids or oil oxidation products), and spoil their taste and aroma.

Apart from coloring substances, oils contain heavy metal ions, toxic organic compounds and carcinogens. To remove impurities, oils are bleached using clay-based materials. Для удаления примесей масла подвергаются отбелке материалами на основе глин.
